  1. Valuable info. Google insights is a greatly underused tool. Once again, thanks Dan for the great content!

Thanks Dan, very useful information. Wish for you a successful 2011.

Good presentation and it seems to serve a purpose, but the way it’s described seems to leave a lot to subjective analysis.

What other tools besides this one should also be used in conjunction with this tool that would produce a more objective analysis in product trends and would provide mutual confirming results that would verify each other?

Like the commercials say, 3 out of 4 whatever agree that so and so is the best solution.
3 out of 4 doctors agree that a flu shot will prevent a serious outbreak of swine flu.

Good job. We struggling marketers need all the HELP we can get, at least 3 out 4 marketers agree.

    Cheers….

  7. Dan,

Will you help me drill down to the exact time in a 24-hour period when a customer is inclined to purchase? With your help I can turn off my PPC campaigns for the other 23.5 hours. Imagine how much cash I could save! Please….

Seriously, great tip. I appreciate your sharing the knowledge, brother!

    Take care,

    Fred S.

    Thanks!
I must admit that this never crossed my mind. Great info. In my field, seems like the summer & christmas holiday seasons won´t get much results. And that makes a heck of a lot of sense out of your tips here – who cares about internet security when they´re off on holidays?

  10. Igor says:

    Dan,
Valuable info helps to promote my future niche right on time
    Thanks

Good Comment, Dan! Heading to South of the Equator, one might expect the trends to reverse,- although I guess most of this Planet’s population is in the North, and the South to be less lucrative.

  12. Jim says:

    Awesome as always bro,

  19. Nice tips, hadn’t considered using it. Now I will!

  20. Hi Dan,

Awesome information!! Insights is something that I for one have forgot about. Even though the stats is something that “we” as marketers must take into consideration when picking a niche and wondering why money does not come rolling in.

    Thanks for the reminder!!

    Regards,
    Steve

  21. hi Dan
thanks for sharing a very useful research tip about google insights .I was suprised about the Golf niche may be its the recesion etc
Anyway I must say your deadbeat affiliate course is a real eye opener .I am watching its for a second time and you realise just how much good info and tips you have in your course.
Also i missed so much info the first time around you seem to absorb info better the second time around watching the core videos
    cheers

I have heard a few vendors talk about Google Insights, but not have explained it in the depth you have. I would have thought golf clubs would have sold at any time, so interesting to see that the results peak pre-summer, and dip in winter. (I suppose it’s logical, but the graph proves it)

So now I’m off to check out electronic cigarettes v New Year Resolutions.

  23. Christine says:

    Hey Dan,

Great tip, thank you for pointing out the insight tool. Such a great way to know when is best to focus the effort for each site so we can maximize our traffic and ultimately earnings..

    Thank you.

  24. Thanks Dan for an informative and helpful video. Once again, you put your customers interests first with this useful advice.

Thanks again and all the best for 2011.

  25. Fred says:

Interesting info, would be interesting to see if golf courses have noticed a drop in daily players in the last couple years, or if the downward slope is just less people looking up new golf equipment to buy, as they’re hanging onto the older stuff. Whatever the reason, seems the interest in new physical products in the golf area has slowed down.

  26. Peggy says:

    Hey Dan:

Thanks for the great information. I didn’t even know about this tool. So I put it into some practical use. I went to Amazon, picked a product or two from each category. Then I used the Google tool to see when the peak traffic times were and what the previous trends were. And just like magic, you can almost map out your entire business plan for the year on the physical products you want to promote. I took it a step further and researched some long tail key word phrases to check out the searches per product per year. Purchased domain names and for the most part I am good to go. The best part of all of this is it didn’t cost a dime, except for the domain names. Hope this helps someone else.

And once again, you have over delivered.

    Regards,

    Peggy

  27. Matt says:

    Great stuff Dan.

Do you think the yearly increase in a searched term could also be attributed to the increase of users and searchers on the internet? – Not that it matters I guess – as long as they’re searching…

  28. Luigi says:

    Hi Dan,

    well,Google ..slaps..but,at the same time..helps!
    i will use it.

    Merry Christmas..guys!

  29. Couldnt agree more with you Dan as I experience this year in year out.

I have to admit that this will give me something else to consider when launching into a new niche. One thing that frustrates any newbie is not making money soon enough and the reason could very well be riding against the tide.

Well this insightful blog post will definitely aid me and I hope a few others overcome this.

    Great job Dan

  30. Thanks for introducing me to Google insights.
Now I will end up spending the rest of the day playing with it.
I see how it could be a valuable research tool.

  31. Julius says:

Thanks Dan for sharing another tool that will helps us to monitor traffic and be aware of the seasons’ demographic change that somehow will affect the products that we are promoting.

You’ll ready to understand how you’ll gonna go with the flow.
